How to translate words from horde to alliance in WoW?
I know some little phrases can be translated like “i love you” what do you have to type on the other side to make that go through?
Boo to posting links I can’t see from work…….
Yeah the basic emotes (hug, love etc) translate fine, I am talking about when your in a BG or Shatt or something and you see them shout something and can understand it.

Its actually not allowed tho some modders may have mods that translate some words the use of these will get you banned from playing the game.
The whole idea is for you not to understand what the other side is saying.
Tho through other means like emotes you may be able to do some simple communication. Tho this does not always work right lol.

Apparently, Blizzard considers any attempt to translate the language a violation of the ToS/EULA. That’s funny to me.
Short answer: there is no way. Some people have tried this out by chatting with friends over the phone with one player Horde and one player Alliance. The Horde person types, for instance, “Hello”. The Alliance translation comes up as Bleh, and they think, “Wow, we’ve got it = Bleh means Hello!” But it doesn’t. Bleh shows up as also meaning Blink, Tutu, and Sneezes. Basically, they have a set of words that they use over and over again which are randomly generated each time the word is spoken.
The only way I’ve ever seen anybody be able to type something that the othe side understands is to put spaces. Some Alliance typed “H A H A U L O S E” and it showed up for us as well. But even that doesn’t always work.
Horde and Alliance aren’t intended to talk to each other, except when you were turned into zombies a few weeks ago and were speaking Zombie. My Tauren had a nice chat with a Dwarf about how much we hated the invasion, lol.

there is no way. like, there is a annoying way of typing like, two letters then a space, then another letter and a space, and it comes up as something on their screen if you read it all together. but there is NO way to actually type in scentances like i am talking to you.
my fiance and i actually did an experiment. i created a horde char, he created an ally char, and we ran our asses to a neutral town. we then proceded to type every letter back and forth to each other. we then started on words. say i typed house at him. it would come up as razja or something to him. if he typed razja back at me, it would come up as kerjz or something. and every time you added more letters, the combination that came up changed. so if i typed houses at him, it would come up as jrazkz or something, rather than anything resembleing razja (house). if you typed any word longer than ten letters, they all came up saying the same thing. so if you typed two completly differant ten letter words, they would both appear the same way on the opposing factions screen.
so yeah, it is impossible. letter combinations change, what i type to him will not look the same if he types it back to me, and any word longer than a certain point becomes some random default word. we spent 4 hours trying to crack it, and came up completly empty handed
