World of Warcraft Cataclysm Computer Space?
I used to play WoW i was a mage level 69 twink sort of and i gave up WoW about 6 months ago, but recently about 2 weeks ago i started playing a trial again, it was quite sad really, all my friends were gone from the server… its like when i left a lot of them did too, as egotistic as that may sound i was quite popular on that game.
Anyway, i just had a trial and ive heard about Cataclysm and i was wondering what kind of space would i need on my comp for ALL the wow games? the original, BC, WotLK and Cataclysm… i mean before i think my comp could only handle the original and BC and i never did install WotLK…
So my question is, i think i have 1024MB space… i think… im not too good with RAM and all that stuff but how much space will i need for all of the games? thanks guys.

Well if you have 1024MB of HARD DRIVE space then you should definitely free up some space or buy another hard drive.
I would recommend having atleast 2GBs of RAM along with much more hard drive space. You should have no problems playing it from there.
Oh, and also make sure to have a good video card.

the game with the 3 released expansion packs is about 15gb.
the new expansion is about 2gb i think? so you might not have enough space.

You’re asking the question wrong, I think. There’s two kinds of memory- physical memory, or RAM, which is what your computer can “think of”, and hard drive space, which is what your computer can “remember”.
Cataclysm is going to be incorporating some improvements to the engine, so I’d think that 1GB (1024MB) of RAM wouldn’t really cut it unless you turned down a lot of graphics options. RAM is cheap these days, so unless your computer is really old, it wouldn’t be terribly expensive to double that amount of RAM.
As far as hard drive space- my WoW folder currently takes up 17.6GB of space. I’d expect Cataclysm to add, probably, another 5 to 6 GB on top of that.
